As published by the Nigerian Ports Authority, its electronic truck call-up system Eto began on 27 February 2021 for the Lagos Ports Complex and Tin Can Island Ports, and trucks doing business at the ports park at approved truck parks until they are called up into the port (as published — confirm current requirements with your adviser). For a Lagos forwarder, haulier or importer, a container pickup therefore depends on a scheduled call-up.
LATYNEX Digital builds custom logistics software around that pickup record. This page covers that work for Lagos businesses. The general service is at Logistics Software Development, and the market overview is at LATYNEX Digital for businesses in Lagos.
Typical industries
- Freight forwarders
- Haulage and trucking operators
- Importers collecting containers
- Clearing and logistics coordinators
Common lead-handling problems
- Truck slot, container and status tracked on separate sheets
- Call-up timing missed and rebooked by hand
- Drivers chased by phone for their position
- No single view of which containers are waiting on which truck
What changes in this market
As published, Eto schedules truck entry and exit, and the Authority states that non-compliance can lead to denied port access, impounded vehicles or revoked licences. Empty containers are returned through a booking made on the platform at the shipping company's holding bay (as published — confirm current requirements with your adviser). In practice a pickup is no longer just a truck and a container: it is a slot that has to be met, and a missed slot has a cost.
Why the global page and the Lagos hub are not enough
The global Logistics Software Development page describes the service across modes, and the Lagos hub covers the market. A call-up queue adds a design question a generic scope skips: the record has to tie a slot to a container, a truck and a driver, and show what happens when the slot moves. That is the centre of this page. For CRM work in Lagos, see CRM migration in Lagos.
What LATYNEX configures and builds
The work stays inside your dispatch process and your own records.
- A pickup record linking container, truck, driver and call-up slot, with the status each is in
- A view of slots coming up and slots missed, so rebooking is a visible task rather than a phone call
- Driver and dispatcher updates recorded against the pickup instead of scattered across chats
- Empty-container return steps tracked as their own status on the same record
- Exports of the pickup history in the columns your team or customer asks for
What stays with you and the authorities
Booking slots, your access to the call-up system, truck park rules, licences and any dealings with the Authority, shipping lines or customs stay with you. We give your team a cleaner record; we do not book, call up or file anything on your behalf.
What needs API support or custom scope
LATYNEX makes no claim of integration with Eto. Any exchange with it, or with your accounting or customer systems, is scoped per project through an API or webhook if access is permitted, after technical review. Some systems will need custom scope.
What we do not do
LATYNEX does not operate trucks, does not run the call-up system, does not give customs, legal or tax advice, does not certify compliance, and does not deliver in languages other than English. We have no Lagos office and this page names no client.
How delivery actually works
LATYNEX Digital has no office in Lagos and does not claim one. We work with Lagos businesses remotely, over video calls and written updates, in English, with the same team and process as in every other market.
Questions
Do you have an office in Lagos?+
No. We work with businesses in Lagos remotely, over video calls and written updates, in English, and we do not imply a local presence.
Does the software connect to Eto?+
No integration is claimed. Any connection would be scoped per project through an API or webhook if access is permitted, after technical review.
Can it book truck slots for us?+
No. Booking stays with you on the official system. Our software records the slot and status so your team can see and manage them.
Can it replace our current tracking sheets?+
That is the usual starting point. We first map how slots, containers and drivers are tracked today, then decide what to build.
How are you invoiced, and in what currency?+
In EUR, by Latynex Trade OÜ, a company registered in Estonia (EU). Tax treatment for a client in Nigeria is confirmed on the quote, and we do not give tax advice.
